Sharp | 4 Doors Fridge
Silver in Dubai Lynx 2009
Tension Point
In a crowded home appliance market, simply claiming a refrigerator is "spacious"
fails to capture attention. Shoppers need a tangible way to grasp what “extra large storage” really means.
Insight
Consumers understand scale best when it’s demonstrated in a familiar, relatable context.
A refrigerator’s storage feels abstract until it’s compared to something they encounter daily.
Idea
Bring the supermarket home: showcase the Sharp 4-door refrigerator’s capacity by placing it directly in
a supermarket aisle, making its "supermarket-sized" storage instantly comprehensible.
Execution
- Built a life-sized, non-functional replica of the Sharp 4-door fridge.
- Installed it at the end of a busy supermarket produce aisle,
blending it with store shelving to create a striking optical illusion.
- Reinforced the benefit with the tagline: “Extra large storage space.”
Results
- Delivered a high-impact, memorable experience for shoppers.
- Communicated the product benefit instantly and clearly, without words.
- Positioned Sharp as innovative and consumer-aware.
- Created contextual relevance, directly connecting the fridge to everyday food storage needs.
