As the brand expanded into Qatar during the FIFA World Cup, we seized the opportunity to connect food, community, and football passion. With the tagline “You’ll Never Cheer Alone,” we turned Deliveroo into the “12th man” of the game, a player that always shows up for fans at home. The campaign teased its arrival by flipping the Deliveroo logo into “12,” building hype across digital platforms, while legendary commentator Rauf Khleif narrated the food delivery journey like a football match from placing the order to the winning “goal” when the bag arrives.
To amplify engagement, Deliveroo drivers activated in-stadium, distributing fresh juices and capturing reactions live from fans. Online, tailored content reflected match highlights, celebrations, and cultural moments, blending humor, food cravings, and community spirit. With 30% of content focused on brand awareness and the rest on offers, restaurants, and World Cup engagement, Deliveroo established itself as Qatar’s go-to food delivery app redefining the game for a new market.
